Tour showcasing the magic of the G7 Hiroshima Summit , including a evening viewing of Itsukushima Shrine and a Bugaku performance

In front of Miyajima Ferry Terminal
In front of the stone lantern inscribed with “Welcome to the Town of Miyajima” at the entrance to the terminal

1) 11:50AM Rendezvous with guide in front of Miyajima Ferry Terminal
・After rendezvous, participants stroll around the Omotesando shopping street, then walk to Akushu Restaurant for lunch.

2) 12:00AM to 1:30PM Arrival at Akushu Restaurant (lunch)
・Lunch is served, prepared with ingredients with special connections to the Summit and Hiroshima.

3) 2:00PM to 4:00PM Arrival at Miyajima History and Folklore Museum (tour of museum and Japanese culture experiance)
・The party is split into two groups and proceeds to the museum tour and Japanese culture experience.

4) 4:30PM to 5:45PM Arrival at Momijidani Park (Kagura performance and dinner)
・Seated in a special viewing area before a specially designed stage, participants watch a performance of Kagura, a traditional performing art.
・Dinner is served at participants’ seats from 5:00 PM.
・In case of rain, the venue will be changed to etto Miyajima Koryukan (Hatsukaichi Miyajima Town Planning Exchange Center).

5) 6:00PM to 7:00PM Arrival at Itsukushima Shrine (evening shrine visit and Bugaku performance)
・Participants gain special entry to the shrine in the evening, listening to commentary about the shrine by shrine employees as they observe the shrine in the evening and witness prayers by special arrangement. Afterward, participants watch a Bugaku performance as the G7 leaders and their spouses did.

6) 7:15PM to 7:40PM Arrival at Miyajima History and Folklore Museum (evening projection-mapping presentation)
・With the museum’s Japanese garden as the background, the story of Miyajima is told in four parts (total of about 10 minutes)—ancient times, Middle Ages, early modern and present day—in a magical projection-mapping presentation.

7) 8:00PM Arrival at Miyajima Ferry Terminal
・Participants and guide bid each other farewell and guests make their own way back to accommodations.

※If the ferry is cancelled due to inclement weather, facilities are closed due to stormy weather, etc., the tour may be cancelled or substitutions made.
